1929 Stutz M. Oil change and service.
Happy to say that this car has gone from smoking like crazy to only burning a small amount of oil over the last two years
This is one of my favourites. A joy to drive. #sgmechanicalservice #ifixstuffyoucant #stutz #prewarcars #mobilemechanic

Love the color on that. Is this the same model without the dual cowl or a different model altogether?

@Hupp31 Most of the manufacturers made a 5 passenger phaeton and then would throw the second cowl on and call it something completley different like "Sport Phaeton" in the Packard world.

Never miss an opportunity to publish a picture of my Stutz. Built in 1929-31 on a 28 BB chassis by Schumacher Motor Service in Yonkers NY.

@alsancle That car is just plain awesome. Any progress on it recently?

@Hupp31 We are in the home stretch on the exhaust fabrication. Because we are using stainless this is probalby twice as hard in some ways. But trying to emulate the original exhaust has been a struggle.

@alsancle Nice. Is that exhaust tapered the whole way back?

@Hupp31 Tappered about half way and then it goes straight.

@alsancle Nice!

@Hupp31 Travis, its amazing what you can accomplish with an unlimited amount of time and money. We found the car in 2005 and immediatly started on it. He used to joke that he wouldn't live long enough to see it finished. I've started the saying the same joke.

@alsancle Fnished or not, it’s just so cool.

@alsancle
Love this car.

Four Passenger Speedster on the 28 BB chassis. Similar to the "M" that started the topic but slightly different. Also, Stutz had short and long wheelbase (145") which makes cars look visually very different.

Cut doors remind me of the RR you posted earlier.
Great photos guys! Stutz had the racing history which has always made it a favorite of mine.

Went for lunch with some friends at a craft brewery.
Made some new friends while I was there.

@ShawnG Prewar chick magnet

@ShawnG Nice! That is a great car!

@ShawnG Looks like a beautiful day.

@ShawnG Super!

I'm sure I'm "stretching" this post, but I love older homes like I love old cars......If you are a Stutz fan and find yourself in Indianapolis, a short drive north on Meridian St (loaded with great old mansions), will take you up to the home of former Stutz President William Thompson. Its history includes being the home for seven consecutive Indiana Governors. The Current owners who have had it for many decades Dr John Klein and his wife Elaine are big supporters of Classic Cars and share their lovely home with others. Drive by it and think about pulling into the drive in your late 20's big powerful Stutz......

John, no stretch! You know I love big old houses. Will start the carriage house topic at some point. That is a beautiful house.
