I’ve always liked photos with some combination of planes, trains, and automobiles. I have a few with aircraft. Anyone have any others?
These are from 1910 at a flight of the Hamilton flying machine. I love the shot of the spectators in the White and Winton. You have to open the photo of the cars all the way up to see much of the White. The photo is an odd size that apparently doesn’t agree with this platform.

1929 Hupmobile Century 6. Anyone know the plane?

@Hupp31
That's a Ford Trimotor

@ShawnG Cool! Thanks

If you note the expression on the face of the guy on the left, the caption on the photo said that it was his first ride in an airplane. He appears to have some reservations. 😀

@Hupp31 He should. At that point there was a higher than zero chance you were not coming home.

1930-1932 Hupmobile Model C and Autogyro.

1934 Hupmobile 427-T

@Hupp31 A 3 window version of this would be awfully nice.

@alsancle Yes it would. Especially if an eight would turn up.

@Hupp31 Travis, any known cars?

@alsancle I don’t believe there are any eight coupes known. Even the sixes are hard to come by. Bulgari has one so that says a lot about how few there are.

@Hupp31 found a pic of a 1937 618-G Hupmobile in the Studebaker Museum - looks to be a Silver Arrow in the background.

A.K. Miller of Stutz hoarding fame had an auto gyro in the 1930s. He used it to deliver mail.

My contribution. There are a number of promotional photos featuring 540K Mercedes with Zepplins and airplanes. This is LZ129 aka the Hindenburg.

@alsancle That photo is awesome on so many levels.

@Hupp31 My friend Keith Ward just posted his AMS series RR to Facebook. Early photoshop? I don't think it is modern AI. The photo was allegdly taken in Toronato where the car was delivered new and the Hindenburg was there. Real?

@alsancle We may never know what’s real again at this point.

@Hupp31 I'm a nitwit. Definitely AI. He admitted it. Same chick as the first photo.

1929 display with zeppelin poster

@Hupp31 Would love that poster for the back of my imaginary garage.

@alsancle I had that exact thought. How cool would that be?

Plane vs race car.
A race across the sands between a light aircraft and a car driven by Raymond Mays was staged in the summer of 1923 at Skegness, the seaside resort on the Lincolnshire coast.

@Rambler0155 That is cool!

@Rambler0155 You might take the trophy with this photo. Hard to beat an action shot.

@428CJ-1969 Taking a picture of a Ford Mustang with a P-51 is something that happens a lot.

It seems that train photos are less common. I’ve always liked this one of a Hudson special being unloaded from a rail car.

Do streetcars count as trains? Meh, close enough.

@Hupp31 Buick Sedanette? Always liked that 40s GM body style.

@alsancle Could be. I wasn’t sure if it was a Buick or Cadillac. I’m terrible with 40’s cars.

@Hupp31 Hubcaps look Caddy, so I might be wrong.

@alsancle I’m thinking it’s an early 40’s Cadillac. Photo was from 1948.

@Hupp31 Travis I think we do better with the obscure 20s stuff. But you are right, it is a Caddy.

@Hupp31 I can't tell you how many Cadillacs my mom and dad chewed through in the 60s and 70s.

@alsancle Certainly not my style but that is a cool photo.

1932 Duesenberg J by Brunn with a Lockheed in the background.

If my memory is correct they made two and this one does not survive. This is the lone survivor sold by RM a couple of years ago.

There is actually three and I think this one might be the car in the photo.
