That's a riot!!! I just posted this to the other thread. Not a bear, but close.
@alsancle The first Pink Panther. A very good movie but not as good as the sequal "A shot in the dark".
@Ralph71 I'm gonna bring it all back together with one clip. The final scene of "A shot in the dark" with a clown car.

That is freaking hilarious. Around here we have enough problems with the real bears breaking into cars.

Maybe a big foot costume would have been a better idea?

@EVFan3939 This just came up on my feed yesterday. Who didn't love the six million dollar man and have a crush on Lindsey Wagner?

@alsancle I LOVE this show!

Speaking of defrauding insurance companies, heard a good one today. Most of the insurance have been putting AI estimating into place where the vehicle owner sends in photos or a video of the damaged vehicle and it generates a repair estimate. There have been major teething problems. One of which is people sending in AI generated images of their “damaged” car and the insurance pays out on what their AI thinks is wrong. Oops.

@Hupp31 Strange new world. I think there needs to be a law where an AI image has a hidden watermark. We are going to have a lot of trouble with generated images and videos.

@alsancle There definitely needs to be some kind of guardrails. It’s all well and good to develop AI and automation and robotics, but it’s absolutely critical that what they’re looking at is reality. If they start interpreting and reacting to fantasy, we’ve got problems.

Seems to me that this guy was just exercising his rights.

@Hupp31 One of my neighbors wants to talk to you about where these "Bear Arms" are coming from...
They are as bad as the turkeys around here...

@SteveMackCT Yeah, they’re just extra large vermin at this point. One thing about living out here in the sticks is that you can leave your car unlocked and be fairly confident that it’ll still be there when you come back. Trouble is, the bears have learned this. It’s not unusual to go out in the morning and find a door open after they decided to have a look. I’ve seen a couple cars with claw holes in seats where they climbed in.

@Hupp31
I live in the sticks. No bears just the occasional thieving scumbag.
Which is pretty ballsy, considering everyone has lots of land and some form of heavy machinery.

@Hupp31 Travis, you just have black bears, right? How does the saying go?
- Black fight back
- Brown lay down
- White good night

@alsancle Yes, just black bears. They’re just like big raccoons.I’ve had to replace a roof on a car because one climbed on top of it, looking for the bird seed that had been left in the trunk. A couple years ago there was one that climbed in a car and the door shut behind it. It freaked out and tore every inch of that car’s interior to bits before it finally got out. Fortunately, it was a Prius, so it was doing god’s work.
