French dentist Georges Paulin did not just make dentures. He patented the retractable hardtop, penned the gorgeous Embiricos Bentley that hit 107 mph at Montlhery and later finished 6th at Le Mans in 1949, and secretly served the Resistance as agent Phill 703. Betrayed, he refused an escape to protect others and was executed March 21, 1942. What a legend. #automotivehistory
