I finished rebuilding the Tri Power carburators on my 46 Chevy Stylemaster and went for a test drive last night. I still have to put the progressive linkage on the outboard carbs. this was just to test how the main carburetor performed by itself. the car is very dusty in the pictures due to sitting in the shop neglected since June but ill get it all cleaned up again soon. Ill make another post detailing the car and its history in my family.

Does it work like a four barrel? The outer two carbs only kick in when you floor it?

Yes when you get to the point where you have the progressive linkage set, it opens up the front and rear carburetors. when they start to open up you can really feel it. way more impressive then just the center 2 barrel. Replying to @Royale835Sedan

Very cool. Who did the paint work and when?

@Rambler0155 thankyou. A fella named Scott baily and his girl friend Melissa Willet who painted for the Lemay family of collector cars did the work almost 20 years ago for my uncle. Ill upload more pictures of it in better lighting .

Nice. I'm assuming an automatic?

@BillSmith yes it has a pro built 700R4 overdrive 4 speed automatic with a slight stall convertor and electronic lock up. the camshaft is lumpy. 480 lift 286 duration that's the reason for the stall. sounds really good with the Borla mufflers and 2 1/2 pipes.
