What it looks like inside a Great Race Rally Car. Navigator on the right is watching the clock and the instruction book. The driver is keeping the speedometer exactly on a speed until given instructions by the navigator to go faster or slower. This was back in 2022 when we did the race in a 38 Packard.
What is with the tape on the speedometer?

It is a requirement of the race. You have to use their official speedometer which you calibrate every morning on the first run of the day.
Wow, I had to google this. Looks like it might be complicated.
Good times but I'm not doing that again!
Fun thing to do once and every car guy should try. But it is not a walk in the park.
