1970 E Type 2+2 Jaguar. I Bought this a couple months ago from the estate of the original owner. It had been sitting in a garage almost untouched since around 1986. It had no keys and obviously not in a running condition. ill be digging into it by February. Look for it this spring at the Maple valley street rats Friday night cruise in beside Walmart in Covington WA

Big fan of the XK Jags. My mom drove this as a summer car for 30 years.

Wow!

Nice! How hard is it to make a car like that run?

@TeslaFan01 the motor turns over by hand freely so basically prime the oil system, replace the fluids, hoses, belts, hydraulic parts of the brakes, clean the fuel system, replace tuneup components and thats a good start then alot of cleani g and some restoration including tires.

@59redwing Thanks for the reply, can you still get parts for this car?

A long long time ago I got in a street race with a Jag roadster. I did great until we got to about 80 and then I ran out of legs and the Jag just kept going. Might still be accelerating some where.

@69GoatMan Assuming it was an "E" type. In the 1950s the XK140 was the fastest car a normal person could buy. Would blow a vette away.

Would love to hear that run again.

@Rambler0155 Here is a video of the XK140 which sounds a lot like an XKE (basically the same engine). They have a very unique sound to them.

Me too. I've got an Infinity on the lift I'm doing timing chains on right now. After that I've got a few things to do on my Hudson. Then Saab 96 stuff. After all of that I am going to start on the Jag. Hope to have it on the road by April. Replying to @Rambler0155

@59redwing If you want something done give it to a busy man. Keep us posted. I'm a big fan of all the XK jags, plus the X which you could buy with an E engine and a stick.

@alsancle Wow. You made me go look up what that was. You could get that beast with a stick? Very cool.
