One of these days I'm going to get one of these.  Spent some time this afternoon reading through my original Owen Magnetic owners manual and parts catalog.   The Owen Magnetic used an electromagnetic transmission to make the car move.   There was no direct coupling between the engine and the driveshaft.   Here is the sedan that is in the Tampa Bay Auto Museum.
