A car like no other—the 1939 Pontiac ‘Ghost Car’! Imagine seeing the inner workings of a car without opening the hood. That was GM’s goal with this one-of-a-kind Pontiac Deluxe Six, built for the 1939 World’s Fair. Instead of steel, its body was crafted from plexiglass, a brand-new material at the time! Unlike metal, plexiglass doesn’t rust—so the Ghost Car remains largely untouched even today. In 2011, it sold at auction for $308,000, a fraction of what it originally cost GM to build! #ClassicCars #Pontiac
