1966 Chevrolet L78 396/375hp SS

The car was sold new at Bob Beck Chevrolet in Lorain Ohio. It has 27,427 original miles. The car was raced locally for approximately 12 years. In 1981 the engine dropped a valve, and the car was parked. I acquired the car in the early 2000’s and brought it back to life in 2012. It retains its original 396/375Hp EG coded engine and 4:10 KK coded rear axle. The transmission was long gone so I replace it with a correct M21 Muncie. It retains all of the original sheet metal, seats, door panels and most all of the original engine components. All the glass is original as well. It was repainted, not a show paint job, and shows plenty of bumps and bruises. It has plenty of provenance that will be included in the sale. The Protect-o-Plate, pictures before it was lettered, over 40 pictures of the car on the track, several in drag review circa 1972, pictures after I got it back on the road and some with the gentlemen that raced/owned it for approximately 35 years. Not a survivor, not a trailer queen but a neat piece of racing history. No trades or payment plans. I don't have time to entertain persons other than real buyers so please don't waste your time or mine.
