1969 Land Cruiser FJ40

1969 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser Build Record – Started 2013. This vehicle started life as a 1969 FJ40 from AZ. The steel tub was intact with no rust-through and the frame was solid and easily powder coated. A five-year body-off restoration/modification began in 2013 and was 95% completed by 2018. Several details continued to be made including most recently a third brake light and upgraded engine wiring. Note the extensive use of premium hardware and fasteners throughout the build. There were no compromises. The vehicle has been modernized with updated running gear and components, but not to the point where its heritage has been lost. Many original hard to find items have been retained including metal emblems, key slot covers, and the rebuilt, original Warn winch. The FJ40 signifies the history of Toyota’s first venture into off-roading and is steadily increasing in desirability and value.
