My wooden boat days are done. But as someone that lived for 50 plus years with a 20' Chris Craft ski boat this boat is the top of the mountain for me. These boats came 21' and 18'. This one has the big Caddy engine. Just an amazing boat. Not sure what you do with it other than show it. At least our boat was useful for sking or cruising with 6 people in it.

Btw, that is my dad in the photo. He bought this when it was 2 years old so around 1964. He worked on it every year until he was 90 to put it in the water. My brothers and I learned to not like that boat. He would not let us buy a new fiberglass ski boat. As adults.

Do you still have it?

Wood boats are beautiful and I'm very glad that other people own them

Reminds me of the two best days of boat ownership...

A great saying and I've reworked it and applied it to quite a few things:
- Two best days of RR ownership...
- Two best days of Steam car ownership..
etc.

Slightly related, this is my old race boat. Came in the deal with my Stutz. Was sitting in a barn in Mass since the early 50s. Never figured out the history. Consensus is it was a torpedo stern that was cut off for an outboard. So 14 length would have been 16 to 17 originally. Never powered in front but there is a hatch for an engine. Had a boat guy reach out and ask where it went. He wanted to build a replica 25% bigger. That would very cool.
