1965 Ford Mustang GT Convertible Four Speed

Description
A head-turning, restored and modified classic for sale. I've owned this car for over 30 years. Candy apple red with a red and white pony interior and red pile carpet.
NOTE: The original instrument cluster was removed and a GT one installed. I do not know what the actuall mileage of the car is.
This is an A-Code 1965 Mustang. Ford made GT’s straight out of the factory and also made A-Codes which were ready made for the GT trim kit. The GT trim includes a GT instrument cluster; pony interior (upholstery and chrome
accessories, such as the special door handles; a “wood trim” glove box; a
specialized rear valence with trumpet exhaust tips; factory air conditioning (not currently working because it needs a modernized compressor.); fog lamps; functioning Rally Pac
combo clock and speedometer; styled steel wheels; tinted windshield;
red convertible top tonneau; and adjustable driver-side side view mirror;
I the original plastic steering wheel with a solid mahogany outer ring, including polished silver dots. I also added a solid wood gearshift
knob with a silver Ford logo. Replaced the 1965 gas cap with a 1966
gas cap and the 1965 fog lamp rails with 1966 rails because they look
better!
Other modifications include a mid-1980’s stock Mustang five speed manual transmission; disc brakes on all four wheels; custom springs that lower the car by one inch; xenon headlights; an aftermarket stereo radio system with Pioneer speakers in the kick panels; a rear torsion bar in addition to the stock front torsion bar; rear gas shocks; a beefier cross brace in the engine bay and a dual chamber, power master brake cylinder. I have the original Borg-Warner T-10 four
speed transmission, possible the original intake manifold and can include both in the sale.
I had the engine rebuilt at the time of
the car’s restoration, runs on unleaded fuel, and it likely has less than 3,000 miles on it. I replaced the stock intake manifold with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley 650 CFM four barrel carburetor. I also replaced the stock exhaust manifolds with headers; the stock valve covers with aftermarket Cobra covers; and, the stock air filter with an elongated Cobra-style air filter.
This car also has the stock power steering. This Mustang has
been stored in a facility that specializes in classic cars. There is minimal to no rust in this car.
