1933 Packard 1002 Phaeton

Description
This 1933 Packard Eight Series 1002 Phaeton is a well-preserved, mostly original example powered by its original 320ci L-head straight-eight with a three-speed synchromesh transmission. It still wears its original Light Yellow paint and black leather interior, making it an ideal weekend driver, tour car, or showpiece. One of only 1,099 built, the car has been owned by a small group of long-term Packard enthusiasts. The engine was rebuilt under the ownership of Packard expert Tom Crook before being sold to the current owner in 2013 with just 4,618 miles since restoration. It has been driven about 8,000 miles since and is a former CCCA National First Prize winner with Full Classic status. The exterior presents well with mostly original paint, good chrome, dual horns, dual spotlights, wind wings, driving lamps, 17-inch wire wheels, and a tan canvas top and trunk. The interior is original and shows patina consistent with age, with black leather seating, clean door panels, and a well-preserved dash. Mechanically, the car retains its original 320ci straight-eight, Stromberg dual downdraft carburetor, mechanical brakes with vacuum assist, semi-elliptic leaf springs, and Packard Ride Control adjustable shocks. All factory gauges work, and a tachometer has been added. Maintenance has been consistent, with service every 500 to 750 miles, steering and cooling system work completed in 2019, new tires in 2023, and the most recent service in July 2025. The car comes with service records and manuals. A handsome, honest, and well-maintained Packard ready to enjoy and show.
