This Traditional Morgan, a 2-seater Plus 4 with Triumph power, was the subject of high quality restoration work some years ago on the west coast. Its two-tone Gray with Burgundy wings is especially attractive. The engine is equipped with electronic ignition, gear reduction starter, over-sized ribbed aluminum oil pan, cast aluminum rocker cover, twin SU carburetors with aluminum air box and Morgan made exhaust headers with a side exit pipe. Behind the engine is a 4-speed Moss gearbox. Other equipment includes Eibach springs with adjustable SPAX shocks, alloy radiator with auxiliary cooling fan, Wind wings, Driving lamp, Badge Bar, Heater and a full tonneau cover. A new chassis frame was put under the car at the time of restoration. There is no number stamped in the frame crossmember, as is usual. Consequently it is titled (Maine Title) under the engine number.
The burgundy fenders are in steel. The gray body and bonnet are aluminum, only the cowl (scuttle) is steel. The finish is excellent with a few imperfections that do not show well in the photos. During the restoration work a new cherry dashboard was fitted using the original cream faced gauges. The original leather seating has a small repair at the top of the backrest. The original top bows are in place, however the prior owner decided to forgo installing new top material as he never drove the car in bad weather. Chrome trim is very nice. There is small a crack in the plating on the rear bumper . Under the car is exceptionally clean, rust and rot free. The wood in the body structure shows no damage or deterioration. The windscreen is tinted safety glass. This car starts easily and runs great. The engine runs cool, the chassis lubrication system is working properly. Tires, while not new, are Vredestein radials with excellent tread.
