I purchased a rebuilt one from Arthur Gould it cost $375.

I thought it was steep too but since Mark stepped up I thought I better.

I sent my MB tank out and had it sealed with this stuff that is ridiculously hard. When I got it back there was 20 hours of body work it look good again. I forget the name of the company but could find it if anyone is interested. I know Bill had the tank on my car out not to long ago.

Yes, the fuel has ethanol although I tend to use racing or aviation whenever possible. I sent my tank out, they cut a big hole in it to get at the inside and then coat it with this stuff that turns as hard as a rock. I did not like it because the cost of bodywork on making the tank look good again was just too much. If you don't care too much about the way it looks then it is a good option. I'll have to look for the receipt next time I'm at my garage.

Boy $375 sound like highway robbery. I do not recall it costing that much from him a couple of years ago. I install a electric fuel pump on my cars but only use it if I have a vapor lock, which happens only seldom. My cars run great with just the standard AC manual fuel pump # 5894 like Mark Gregory said. The biggest problem is to have a clean tank. I have not had good luck with any of those slosh around tank sealers, even when I tumbled rocks in the tank and used muriaic (sp) to clean out the tank first.
