From what I can tell on the drivers side of the car on top of the frame between the the steering gear and the firewall is the serial number of the car . On the drivers side on the front motor support is the serial number of the motor .

Dave: I am sure a bit late, as I hadn't checked into the forum lately. When I bought my car there was this piece of paper that I am attaching that has the information you are looking for about where to find numbers...
