There are many restoration shops and collection managers in the lot and it is a busy place. Most of the professional shops had the cars on jack stands with the wheels off. I was equipped to do that but I wasn't gonna.
Tom and Stuart were a huge help.

Steve, it was almost like real work. I guess a first world problem. My antique car got mud on it while I was at Pebble Beach.
The truck drives are a huge help and you need to tip them at the end of the week. I let my driver Dave know what time I'm showing up and he as the car out waiting for me and he will reload it.
There is a class for Vanderbilt race cars this year. This one required a push start. They eventually gave up and got a rollback to put it on the field. The racecars were all being placed on the field this afternoon to make tomorrow morning go smoother.

I’m thinking this morning about all that has happened since you discovered the car, decided to buy it, brought it home and started doing research and the dream of restoring it and taking it to Pebble Beach was crafted…….. it is such a great car. Enjoy the day and have your wife and friends take thousands of photos for you to reflect on after you get home.

Thanks John, I'm absolutely one of those professional athletes giving an interview where they say "I'm just glad to be here". My expectations are very low. We just want to make it on to the field and off again with no disasters.
The idea of taking the car to Pebble is a relatively recent one. It came to me when my wife told me I wasn't going again without her.
