New member from Texas — just picked up my first Corvette!

Hey everyone! Just found this club and I'm excited to be here. My name is Mike, I'm based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and I just picked up a 2022 C8 Stingray 2LT in Rapid Blue with the Z51 package. It's my first Corvette and honestly my dream car since I was a kid watching them race at Le Mans on TV. I've been a truck guy my whole life but something about the C8 just grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Drove three hours to Houston to pick it up from the dealer and the drive home was the best road trip of my life. Currently at 800 miles and counting down to the 500-mile break-in being over so I can really open it up. Looking forward to meeting some fellow Vette owners, learning from the community, and hopefully joining some cruises and events.
