from 3d scan to3d model is a long process, the scan only gives you a wire frame mesh but obviously only the internal details that can be seen from openings, the wire mesh is used as a skeleton to draw inside of to create the actual part model, as you can see from these pictures the model appearing…

Chris, so thats the process after the scan until completion?

@DuesyGuy scan, then 3d model, then patterns and core boxes made ( over size to allow for shrinkage ) then casting, then heat treatment and then machining. ... lots of work

Chris, are you going to 3d print this? If so what material?
