As a fellow Model X owner I’m very curious to see what you think of this new vehicle. At first I didn’t like the idea of having a $99/mo subscription for autopilot but the break even is around eight years and five months versus the old “$10K up front” so you’re probably better off with the subscription. Keep us updated!
With the launch edition its free for a year.. My friend has a newish model Y and the self driving is amazing compared to my 6 year old X.. this is really the key reason I made the purchase.. He virtually types in an address and the car drive there.. so crazy.....
So the YL is basically the X without the extra expensive electric doors in front and gullwing doors in back? What other differences do you think there are? The Launch starts at 63,600. What is your price?
The equivalent 2026 X was 100k, so a significant price difference but the actual feature differences are not that great.
Congratulations! I can't wait to see one of these in person and do a test drive. Interesting Strategy on Tesla's part but given the demand it looks smart unless those were mostly Y buyers.
