The steering box is a Gemmer 215 series if memory serves me. It was used in several different cars that all had different castings, thus it's unique to the L29. The guy who makes parts for them and rebuilds them can be contacted at 413-543-9017 east coast business hours. His name is John. He has several in the shop right now for rebuild and may know of someone who has a spare. Many are damaged or worn out due to lack of lubrication or incorrect adjustment. It won't be an easy find. He made the steering box for the 1922 Dusenberg that won at Pebble Beach, using a 215 Gemmer series box. He is the guy to talk to. Good luck.
