I just happened to spot your thread re: the LaSalle headlight bar. I found a broken LaSalle headlight bar in, of all places, LaSalle Ontario while looking through assorted bits of non-auto related stuff and bought it with the hope that some day it would find a car. Doing an internet search, it appears to be '29 or '30. The casting for the center section is broken just left of the raised ring on the castng that the rod fits into. I believe it could be repaired by someone skilled in welding/fabricating. The rod would be no problem to someone with a lathe. The right side is complete. I'm not sure if the centre section with the LaS logo is cast or pot metal. Feels heavy enough to be cast and has not pitted the way pot metal does. If you or someone else with early LaSalles is interested, we can discuss an appropriate value as I am unsure how to price it. Sorry I don't have a picture for you but I have tried to describe it as accurately as possible. The steel bar 3/8" diameter protrudes from the casting almost exactly 4" There is a 1/8" groove about 1/8" from the outer end which I assume engages some sort of retainer inside the headlight shell. A 1/8" pin driven vertically through the casting holds the steel bar in place.
