1940 Packard 160 Super 8 Club Coupe

I have just acquired a 1940 Super 8, 160 Club Coupe in a trade for my '33 Rolls Royce Park Ward Coupe. The car is currently being transported from Washington State to my home in St. Simons Island, GA. I expect it’s arrival in the next 3 days. It was described to me by previous owner as having a frame off restoration 4 years ago with a complete engine rebuild at time of restoration. It had always been a dry West Coast car. It has factory radio, clock, heater, & overdrive transmission. I had a pre-purchase inspection done & it was confirmed that the car is in 2+ condition as represented by the previous owner.I took this car in trade with the intention of selling. I am in the process of down sizing & I no longer have the size garage space I once had. I am partial to British cars & Corvettes & would consider one or more cars in trade for this Packard. Based on my experience in the collector car world attending numerous auctions & shows around the country, I estimate this Packard to be worth today in the $40K + range in it‘s present condition.If you have interest in a trade or outright purchase, please contact me. The weather here on St. Simons Island this Winter has been extraordinary. I have been enjoying driving my '40 160 Super 8 Club Coupe around the island & up & down the Coastal 17 Highway that runs along the GA coast.

I have an ad that just came out in this month's Hemming print magazine. I shot these photos yesterday on St. Simons Island. If any of you guys love Packards of this vintage & have the itch for something new to add to your stable, you need to come see mine. Not only does it look spectactular, it drives spectacular as well. Not a squeak or rattle attributable to the quality of the frame off restoration that the car received approximately 4 years ago.
