1933 CADILLAC V16 FLEETWOOD BODY STYLE CATALOG Original - eBay (item 120612837316 end time Aug-30-10 13:26:49 PDT)I found this catalog amid a bunch of older original and reproduced Cadillac literature in a used book shop. I believe that this piece is a real, original catalog from Fleetwood Body for the 1933 Caddy. I do know that this catalog was reproduced at one time by someone, however I cannot imagine a reproduction that would have been printed this well on paper this expensive. The other reproductions were all photocopies mounted in reproduced covers. I've described it in the listing as accurately as I can.If anyone believes this is the reproduced item, let me know via a p.m. or on this thread. I do not want to represent it as the real thing if it is not.

Your photos are very, very small, so it's hard to tell, but it looks like a re-pop to me. Most of the reproduction stuff I see of Classic Car material is always very high quality. The piece you posted looks brand new. It is my opinion that if it were original, the paper would have yellowed some by now.

Well, repro or not, kudos for listing it at a fair price. In that range, it's worth it even for a re-pop. Hope you find a good home for it.....

Thanks West. I should have mentioned that, and have modified the listing accordingly.

The paper is slightly yellow consistently throughout. I've added a photo of the inside cover page with a piece of new, white paper on top to reflect the color better. I can't say if it yellowed with age or not, however, as it might have been reproduced by being printed on a glossy, textured, buff/eggshell colored paper.

Also when I click on the "enlarge" bar on the photo I get an image that almost fills the screen on my monitor. I don't think I can post an image any bigger.

Dave,

Walter Miller lists a 9"x12" Original '33 Fleetwood Catalog with an embossed gray cover

at 15 times the price of your piece, which I'd bet is a reprint. Since both have black and white

illustrations, yours is a tremedous bargain for someone building a reference library on a budget.

That said, I couldn't in good conscience call it an original in its title listing, but it sure would

make a great placeholder for an owner/restorer/researcher awaiting the real deal.

I just wish your listing was a '34 Packard Eight piece!
