SOLD! 1930's-1940's Heater Water Shut-off Valve

Here's a very nice, original heater water shut-off valve. I have also seen these valves installed on GM cars (and many others) from the 1930's and 1940's. This unit replaces the pipe nipple by the engine water outlet that the heater hose inlet attaches to. You screw this valve in and attach the heater hose to it. I believe the idea is to keep the hot engine water from going through the heater core in the summer, thereby keeping the passenger compartment cooler. This is an original unit with brass valve seat, screw, handle. The body of the valve is steel. Tests good.
