Classic Car Wanted

I am looking for a Classic Car from the early 30's. Preferably one of the following-Packard, Pierce Arrow, Cadillac, Lincoln, Large Series Chrysler, Series 90 Buick, Auburn, Large series Studebaker, or Cord. First choice would be an open car, coupe second, and then sedan. I am flexible regarding condition-would consider any car including one that is running or not running, or a barn fresh car, or a car that is disassembled or partially restored when the owner lost interest, or an older restoration that has been sitting around the garage for years and is no longer driven, or a daily driver. Bob: I strongly recommend before buying ANY old car, you first go to as many car meets as you can, and talk to as many different owners of as many different makes as you can, and see how many old cars you can get a ride in and/or drive, before committing yourself to a purchase. The further back in time you go, the more distinct the "driving personality" of the various cars is. Each true classic is an excellent car, but the different makes offer MUCH more varied driving experiences, than the cars of more recent years.

I also strongly recommend you think thru what part of the "old car experience" is most interesting to you. You would do well to purchase a car that is already well-maintained and fully operational. The cost to place an out-of-service car back on the road, especially with the more sophisticated engines of the larger classics, gets more and more outrageous each year. The cost to purchase your choice of cars, in a well-maintained good running example, is going to be FAR less than the cost of getting a badly maintained car into the same condition.

Think it over - think thru what your needs are, and STUDY the situation carefully !

I own a 1929 Model M Stutz Sport Limousine with a LeBaron

custom body. I have owned the car since l964 and have

driven it on several outings, parades, and the 1965 CCCA

Classic Car Caravan to upper Minnesota. The car is presently

in storage and has the engine dissassembled for a bearing job.

The car is complete and has an old restoration. Would like to

How about a 1938 Brewster/Buick. This car has an open chaueffer compartment (top rolls back into box above drivers head) and formal sedan. Custom Brewster coachwork on a roadmaster running chassis. All heart shaped Brewsters are classics accordng to CCCA registry. Rear seats are goos down filled original with jump seats.
