advice on inflating wire wheels

Folks, for those who have wire wheels, what type of tube stem do you use? straight or bent? If you have straight, how do you inflate? do you have and/or can you recommend a good tool that can access the tight area of a straight stem on wire wheels?I have straight stems ( not thinking) on wire wheels of my 1929 Chrysler and have the devil's time getting gauge into the area.Thank you.Tom

Tom -

I highly recommend the bent tube stems -- they make it a whole lot easier to air up the tires!
