serial number 1938 Lasalle

Help! I can not find the serial number on my 1938 Lasalle. Inseption required to register the car. Please give me precise location where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated. John Lynch

You should be able to find the serial number on the top of the frame. Left side (Driver's) side of the car, just behind the motor mount. It may not be distinct and might require cleaning the paint off to read. Good luck.
