Trippe Lights Help

I have a set of Trippe lights I am restoring, and have a question. In the attached picture I need to know what was the original finish of the mounting bracket? I can see chrome and paint, if paint what color? if chrome was the entire bracket chrome including the piece that is rivited to the back?Thanks Rick

Hi Rick,

Are you sure that those are original Trippe brackets? They don't look anything like mine. Please check this site out. Trippe Sr.'s on '38 Buick It's a bit hard to see but the mounting brackets come up from the bumper brackets and curve in toward the grilles from behind the bumperettes. Hi again! I just found a good shot of the correct brackets. Check out eBay item # 2169214820. There is an excellent picture of them posted.

Nice brouchure. I couldn't get it to print out at a high enough resolution to print it, to read well. Could you email me a higher quality scan?
