brake problem

First you have to find out if the problem is mechanical or hydraulic. Using a blunt clamp of some sort squeeze the flexible brake lines to block fluid flow, first do the rear and push the pedal if it is still soft leave the rear clamped and clamp off both front. now push the pedal if it is hard the problem is in the front if it is soft the problem is in the master cylinder

u either need to adjust the brake shoes or bleed the master cylinder. Since the MC sets high in the vehicle it needs to be bench bled before installing. OR u can bleed it on the car by popping the line connections at the MC just like a wheel cyl bleeder screw. I assume there r NO leaks anywhere.
