No, the rod big ends are bigger than the piston bore. You must remove the heads and drop the pan. Then you can remove the rod caps, making sure that you mark them exactly as they came off if you are not repouring the bearings. Unbolt the blocks and lift them off with the pistons in them. There is no need to remove the valves, however when you have the blocks on the bench, with the pistons removed, you should at least lap or grind the valves, or preferably have new hardened seats installed. Also, check the bores as they probably have a lot of taper in them, and new rings might not work or only prove to be a temporary bandaid. Good Luck, Steve<BR>
