Does anyone here know if the 1927 LaSalle uses a factory installed gas tank cover? I have seen a s few pictures on the internet which do not have a cover. It looks "unfinished". A second question, did LaSalle have a dedicated trunk rack bracket or were they dealer installed? Al

My car doesn’t have any cover, and it seems the original setup. It is quite fresh information for me, because I have had the tank removed for cleaning and repainting last week. Indeed, the 1927 LaSalle has a quite strange spartan type rear back.

Your LaSalle looks to be a very nice automobile. I would like to locate and purchase a 1927 LaSalle.
