Book Recommendations

Hello friends,I am seeking recommendations for books on the subject of prewar well made upper end cars both foreign and domestic. Cars like: Duesenburg, Peerless, Stuz, Hispano Suzia, Rolls, etc. I am looking books dealing more with these car makers, their history, and details of the cars themselves rather than picture books. I have always wanted to know more about this part of our history.Many thanks,David

Get both volumes, they will make other car books look bad.

Also, the Splendid Stutz is a must have book

Finally, Fred Roe's Pursuit of Perfection.

The Custom Body era, by Hugo Pfau can be purchased for 20.00 or so on ebay. Also the two CCCA books by Kimes are I think the best overall books on the big cars. They don't run cheap, but they are worth 5 times the cost you will pay. Ed
