April 1 - 3, 201134th Annual Texas Packard Meet in Salado, Texas. This is the oldest regional Packard meet in the country and one of the largest. It is sponsored by the four Texas regions of the Packard Club. It is held annually in Salado, Texas at the Stagecoach Inn. Salado is approximately 50 miles north of Austin on I-35.The meet typically has from 40 to 70 Packards depending on the weather, including a good number of Full Classic Packards, and over 100 master registrations.Participants enjoy an early bird tour, an all Packard swap meet, a Peoples' Choice competition, seminars, a banquet, and an awards program. There is also a meeting of the PAC board. Participants from all over the country compete for the Long Distance award. Fees for registration vary according to activities selected. Dave, good to hear from you. If you are even thinking of going to Salado, I recommend you make motel reservations NOW. The Stagecoach Inn is usually fully booked for this meet. There are a couple of other motels and you can probably find a room there. Try Stagecoach first, then if they are full ask them for suggestions. Nothing is very far from the event site as Salado is a small town. Look forward to seeing you there. John
