A very handsome car indeed. I would hope that you might put together an application for consideration by the Classification Committee. The forms are available with just a phone call to National Headquarters. As this is a standard production style, it would need to be a Series consideration. To the best of my knowledge the 8-85 Paige has not been considered in the past. As you are aware, under the Graham-Paige name, the 1928 Model 835 has been approved as a Full Classic.
I'll be looking forward to the application.

Is the photo reversed, or is this example a right hand drive? If so, this one must have been built for export.

I saw that, too, and I don't know the answer. I think the car is right-hand drive, and I also think the car is either located in Europe or Australia. I'll have to get in contact with Mr. Roberts. It is probably very similar to the Graham-Paige, but the wheelbase isn't as long. 130.5 vs 137.

Interestingly, if you look in the Kimes' Standard Catalog, the only body style listed for the eight-cylinder Paige in 1927 is a five-passenger sedan. The company offered the car in six different body styles. There are probably less than a handfull in existance. Which is probably why it has never been applied for Classic status. If this roadster ever made it Stateside, I'm sure the owner would soon apply and have his request okay'd. As to any sedan owners out there, maybe they aren't Classic Car Club kind of guys, even though their car is (no disrespect intended).

If the car is australian, then it probably got a local body. Most cars were shipped here without bodies and local coachbuilders bodied them. It was a tarif thing.

Supposedly this car is in Australia, but you being a Graham man in Australia, and not aware of it, maybe it's in New Zealand???? Or some other surrounding island???
Sure would love to have a story on it for the magazine.

From one of the Graham web pages, I find that this car is in the Neville Storey collection in Australia. Are you familiar with that collection?
