We need more info. to help you out....could you give us a detailed discussion on how we tell which '33 Willys coupes are the "classics"...and which are just ordinary old used non-descript cars that are about as exciting as a basket-full of dead fish....? I mean...after all..we sure wouldn't want to waste your time on NON classic '33 Willys coupes...
So - please give us some detail

Carl - I think you are being just a bit stuffy here...the guy has a RIGHT to ask us for help in finding his "classic" 33 Willys coupe. My goodness...man..where have you been...dont you get out much..? Why, just the other day...we were at Barnes and Noble (major book-store)...and I found ROW after ROW after ROW of books and magazines about "classics"........"classic" airliners..."classic" fram tractors..."classic yachts"....."classic" pick up trucks, "classic" chevrolets....."classic" biscuit-making....
As it gets harder and harder to find ANYTHING used for sale these days that is NOT called "classic", we need more and more help from guys like this, to tell us WHICH old Willys coupes are the "classics".....
Why would you want to discourage a guy like that from becoming active in a Classic Car Club Of America forum...wake up and smell the roses...have you stopped to COUNT the number of cars the "new blood" in the Classic Car Club Of America has admitted to "classic" status in the past twenty years or so...?
Let's not bother with anything as silly as traditional "precision of speech"....we need to ENCOURAGE these types to express themselves more....to vocalize their thought process.....who knows....we might even get a few of them to start THINKING for themselves...could happen....!

Well, there goes another potential CCCA member/enthusiast chased away by the demeaner and attitude of some of the posters on this forum. What do you suppose his opinion is of the CCCA now? Of course we don't need him or his kind. Everyone knows they're not like us.

You mean...asking a guy to THINK about what kind of cars the Classic Car Club Of America is in existence to focus on....will alienate a guy and drive him away...? You SURE you want to stand by a position like that..?

For aught I see there is ONE fellow who's alarm can be depended upon to go off when confronted with the word "classic".
Kindly do not attempt to paint me with the same broad brush as I cannot recall endorsing or seconding such conduct, gently ridiculing it yes, but I must have been too subtle again for some........

Ya know, I monitor this board daily. It takes a bit of my time. If I decide I want to leave up a post about a non Full Classic car for a few days, I will do so. There is an off chance that maybe one of our members may have one of these, know someone who has one of these, or have been driving down the road and seen one of these sitting behind a barn. Whats the real harm in leaving up such a post, Peter?
While you havent really said anything terribly inflammatory here, I am just getting tired of having to "police" this board because of one mean person (thats you, peter)who tries force his myopic view of Classicdom on the rest of the club/world.
Please don't respond to this message, Peter. Its a busy day for me and I will take my time deciding if I want to ban you again. This is a volunteer job and until someone else steps up to the table and volunteers to take over the monitoring of this board I will decide what stays on it. There isn't going to be a committee convened over this, it really isnt that important.
Obviously you didnt read the Presidents message in the recent Bulletin. I think I have authority here to do whatever I wish as far as you are concerned.
