Wanted Change in the CCCA Bullentin

TO THE EDITOR BEVERLY RAY KIMES: I as a member of the CCCA enjoy reading the CCCA Bulletin every month and can't imagine how much work that goes into publishing the Bulletin. There is one change that I would like to see. I am very interested in the custom body builders of the golden era and in particular the history of the builders. Being a fairly new member I would like to see some pages devoted to this subject.

What you'll want to do is get a hold of old issues of The Classic Car from the late 1950's thru the mid 1960's. In these issues, you will find extensive series of articles on all the major body builders. Several articles were 4 or 5 issues long. Perhaps the most intersting was the series on LeBaron, written by Ray Dietrich, co founder of the company.

It's "been done" ...as the above posters have noted. Also...suggest, if you do not already have it... you get access to a copy of THE CUSTOM BODY ERA by Hugo Pfau. That book is SO good and SO complete and has SO many neat photos, I am not clear on how it would make sense for our Club's Editors to try and "out-do"....
