I am pleased and honored to have been asked to be a moderator on this forum. This forum can do great things for the club, besides being a lot of fun. What we need here is a bit more action. So whats up with you? Anybody buy any new (to them) cars recently? excited about the annual meeting being someplace potentially warm this year? having trouble finding something? whatever, as long as it has some semblance of relating to CCCA approved cars, events, politics (be nice), publications, the website, new projects, etc. chime on in!!!I know there are a good number of lurkers here...lets here from you!Dont just wait for someone else to say something and then reply, be bold! step on up! type away!I promise to try my best to be a fair and impartial moderator, and will only step in to break up fights, or move stuff that really doesn't belong here.So away we go! lets have some fun! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> Shawn MillerDirectorIndiana Region

Are we allowed to talk about "lesser" classics like the Light 8 Packards and ' 47 Cadillacs or will we be jumped on by the "In crowd" ? Or will everyone assume we're just trying to sell our "pseudo classics" ?

Last time I checked those cars were recognised by the club.

Please post something! I really like the light 8. Was at Alan Strongs on one of our outings, and he had this roadster he had recently found in tihuana that was pretty much original. What a beautiful car! The windshield was so short it almost seemed as if it had been chopped in the 50's. Very muscular body. I want one!

One more thing. there is a new sheriff in town. condescending, inappropriate or ad hominem remarks will be dealt with immediately, but hopefully you wont notice because this won't happen. After all this is the greatest car club on earth, right? We are all on the same team here!

Restorer32, The Light Eight Coupe is a very interesting body. It appears as if the top is a convertible however it takes at least a can opener, or better yet a torch to take it down. What body style is yours?
