A "VIN De Coder"...? Dont you just LOVE it! (anyone with the brains of a sand flea knows the Classic era or "classic" school of design (where "form follows function"..i.e. when the straight, angular lines of car design were replaced by the "moderne" or "art deco" or "stream-lined" era beginning in the 1940's. And here we have a guy talking about VIN numbers....! (for those of you who dont get my sarcasam, VIN came in with a Federal law sometime in the 1960's, or LONG after the "Classic" era ended. Prior to the VIN era, auotomibles were typically identified and registered state motor vehicle depts by their ENGINE numbers.<P>PETE HARTMANN<BR>Big Springs, Arizona
